Taking stock. It’s an exercise we highly recommend, in work and life.
So before we roll into 2025, we’re celebrating 2024 by polling our agency team to ask them: what were your biggest wins at Interrupt this year? A project that pushed you, a moment of success clinched, a long-awaited shoot that went off beautifully?
Here are musings on a year spent working our collective a** off to push the marketing and branding work of our clients, and our industries, to its max potential.
The Owens Corning Home Center “Champion Your Project” Tour
Hayley Kandik, Graphic Designer
“When you think about graphic design, you don’t often think about getting to do big experiential projects like this—a road show that hit so many cities, from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Seattle, Washington. As a young designer, I loved seeing what we could imagine and push clients to do, building this amazing training and product experience that was mobile. There were so many little pieces and parts and various people involved. When I finally saw the results in person, at that scale, it was awesome. And Owens Corning held a wrap party to celebrate its success with agencies and staff, which was such a great celebration of a job well done that we don’t often get to have with clients.”
A New (and Yet-to-Debut) MI/Milgard Commercial
Ernest Turner, Associate Content Director
“The most satisfying moment for me was seeing the MI/Milgard 30 second ad spot finally coming to life. (Though I’ve seen it, you won’t see it until it runs in 2025!) This was a huge project, and while we initially presented the concept a couple years ago, it was finally approved and produced this year. The concept was about showing what the windows enable in the home—not just the windows themselves. The script evokes the feelings of joy and peace found in everyday moments while showing the seasons change and time pass (and the script nods to thermal performance and reliability). As it continues, we see the family growing and the script connects the act of choosing the window as the element of your home that will always be there, framing the moments you'll remember. It's a neat concept and I think Diamond View, a new video partner for us, really brought it to life beautifully.”
An Influencer Collab with Erin Napier
Angie Coakley, Senior Project Manager
“We’re longtime collaborators with Owens Corning Roofing, so they’re a constant source of proud moments. But this year we really hit it out of the park with a collaboration with HGTV star Erin Napier. We worked with her team on video and social posts that emphasize her love of stylish roofs and why the designer is proud to be a self-proclaimed “roof geek.” The campaign was a huge success for Owens Corning and I am extremely proud to be part of the team that helped it come together.”
Low GWP Refrigerant Transition Campaign for Lennox
Kyle Rhine, Strategic Account Manager
“Across North America and around the world, the HVAC industry is converting to refrigerants with lower global warming potential. There is complex information around the regulatory change that major companies like Lennox, our client, need to communicate in a simple and straightforward way. We were able to take this dense content and make it digestible for their customers. We put together a landing page, a video, campaign messaging, performance infographics, a transition guide and a comprehensive FAQ. Since launch in September, the client has generated more than 700 leads through the landing page. It was a victory and a way to usher in a new era in HVAC.”
The Spreadsheets Were Spreadsheet-ing
Suzanne Silva, Director of Operations
“This was our biggest year yet, and after 12 years with Interrupt, witnessing this exceptional growth in 2024 was so much fun. (And of course, it kept me very busy!) We continue to grow, adding new accounts, new people, and new processes. Our team consistently dives in and gets the job done every single day. We work hard together to accomplish, adapt, pivot and embrace the changes and challenges. And though there are stresses along the way (who doesn't have any, right?), we continuously push hard to see projects through to completion and accomplish our goals together. When you have a strong team, you can accomplish anything. And that is us, Team Interrupt!”
Digital Reporting Got Stronger
Brian Dean, Director of Digital Strategy
“My biggest win was implementing a number of new processes within our media team in an effort to improve the overall efficiency and impact of the work we are doing. Based on the metrics we track internally, we have improved significantly and our clients are getting better results and access to information much quicker than in years past. We still have work to do but are excited on the impact we are having both internally and with our clients.”
Rebranding VSI to PEPA
Bill Giacci, Account Executive
“Helping present the new PEPA brand to the group’s members at an annual meeting in New Orleans was a major moment. As VSI, our client previously represented vinyl siding exclusively. We worked with them to create an identity that better fit the new and improved role of the organization representing polymeric exterior building product makers and installers. The launch will help them grow their membership and will bear a lot of rewards in 2025, so it had the double win of being a peak in 2024 with after-effects into 2025 and beyond.”
‘Twas A Good Year For All
Bill Rossiter, CEO and Agency Principal
“In 2024, we helped our clients grow revenue and profit well above the organic market growth. We helped several clients absorb new acquisitions and give them meaning in their new company. We facilitated several CEO leadership sessions and customer advisory sessions to help set company direction. We interviewed over 5,000 of our clients’ customers to help set a foundation of knowledge. And we did several rebranding initiatives, giving our clients’ brands a more purposeful and differentiated approach to the market. Another year in the books and one I’m incredibly proud of.”
So, you’re considering a brand makeover. But do you have the right reasons? Identifying the cause for overhauling your go-to-market identity (or at least evolving it) is as important as the quality of the new work you’ll commission. Interrupt creative directors share the four times your company may be due for a rebrand.
If you’re a manufacturer of American-made goods, you already know the value of the “Made in America” claim has ebbed and flowed over the past few decades. Recently, however, it seems to be making a comeback. Bill Rossiter, agency owner and principal, discusses Morning Consult’s “Made in America” report and shares how you can leverage the power of Made in the USA on your own homegrown products.
While businesses nationwide strive for diversity, age remains a largely overlooked aspect. Conversations tend to focus on gender and race, but a team with a wide range of life and work experiences is incredibly powerful. Learn why a multigenerational team is a key differentiator that’s too often overlooked.
