Strategic Insights Associate Manager

We’re looking for someone who can work through projects at every level, from 50,000 feet to 100, and constantly push new thinking. This role requires a multidisciplinary leader with a solid track record of mentoring a team and engaging the agency to deliver innovative, creative solutions on time, within budget and with the highest quality.
Position Description
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Strategic Insights Associate Manager to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving workplace. You will work closely with the agency teams including the Strategic Insights and client account team as well as Interrupt’s Leadership Team to conduct deep secondary research, design and execute primary market research, develop impactful fact-based insights and contribute to game-changing strategic recommendations for our clients. This position is part of a growing focus for the agency and therefore offers opportunities for continued growth.
Accountabilities
- Work with other internal stakeholders to define process, approach and timelines to achieve discovery and insights objectives on Strategy projects
- Review, analyze, synthesize, summarize client-provided data, reports and presentations
- Participate in all aspects of qualitative research including; scoping, planning, discussion guides, scheduling and/or conducting interviews, transcript analysis, insights development and reporting
- Participate in all aspects of quantitative research including; scoping, planning, questionnaire development, survey set-up, fielding, analysis, insights development and reporting
- Actively leverage Interrupt’s AI platforms in the research, insights and/or strategy development processes, developing a deep understanding of applications and uses
- Coordinate with and manage third-party data collection vendors and contractors
- Respond to internal and external clients' needs
- Maintain visibility of “the big picture” while working at ground level
- Find answers to hard questions, driven by relentless curiosity

Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in market research, marketing, brand or product management, or strategy consulting
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Understanding of market research fundamentals is key
- Proven track record of framing ambiguous challenges and creatively leveraging different types of custom and syndicated research to address
- Demonstrated proficiency in secondary research
- Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical mindset (and analytical proficiency) balanced by clear storytelling shown through effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Desire to be in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience utilizing AI platforms in the research, insights and/or strategy development process strongly preferred.
- Experience with the building material/home improvement industry is a plus
- It is preferred that this position work full time in Sylvania, Ohio; Remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates
- Ability to travel when necessary (less than 10% of time)
